Yo someone asked me this:

“How did you get good?”

Well I did something that made me 10x better every week.

This “something” is so simple it’s only got three components:

  • Write daily

  • Always write something that sucks

  • Get feedback

What???

Why am I writing things that suck on purpose?

Well it’s not just me….

Everyone in the world who wants to get better at a skill, has to suck.

And I don’t just mean at first, they have to suck from the beginning to end.

Take a skateboard legend for example.

Let’s say he can do all the best tricks, and he doesn’t need a helmet, and etc etc

Essentially he’s super good.

What should he do?

Should he keep doing the tricks he’s good at?

Or should he suck at a few new tricks to get even better?

Of course he should keep trying to do new tricks, and since he’s never done them before… he should suck at them.

Because if he doesn’t suck, then the new trick isn’t hard enough, and he won’t get better.

Same thing with copywriting.

You have to keep doing newer and harder skills, techniques, etc. to get better.

And I know it’s hard because no one wants to suck at something…

But it’s the only way to get better.

Peace
