- Why wine racks could ruin your outreach
Why wine racks could ruin your outreach
and what to do about it
BRO,
I used to have a built-in wine rack in my kitchen cupboard.
Long story short—one afternoon at like 5pm I hear scrabbling and whining from the kitchen.
I walk in and see my dog with its head stuck in the thing, trying to pull itself out and choking itself in the process.
So all heck breaks loose.
Everyone is screaming trying to stop the dog from choking, and I’m panicking trying to find a saw.
I find one and start sawing completely the wrong bit of the wine rack, then I get the right bit, and the dog shits all over the floor and us.
I slip in the poo, yank backwards, snap the wine rack, and the dog is free.
My dog then sticks his head straight back in to grab the M&M that he was trying to reach and runs off, leaving me lying on the kitchen floor crying and covered in dog shit.
I fixed the wine rack, he did the same thing again a month later.
We got rid of the wine rack.
Now, why does this story vividly describe most peoples outreach journey?
Well, for one it’s because you’re not testing.
For one message you’ll send this… it won’t work so you get emotional and change 6 things… then you do that like 5 more times…
and before you know it you’re sending the same outreach method again!
Look, here’s the thing….
If you’re going to do outreach, you’re going to be testing.
It’s like going to take a poop—you wipe up after! ALWAYS… so start testing… ALWAYS.
STREAK: IDK
