Someone recently replied to this email i wrote:
Here’s what he said:
“Did it. You know I knew this was going to be a click bait. But I still read this email because I thought it would have some value in it. But it had nothing and it was kinda disappointing 😕”
This is a very important reply because I want you guys to understand this…
I ALWAYS have value in my emails.
Always.
But you have to look inbetween the lines sometimes to see the value.
I want to keep you guys on your toes… looking out for stuff… smart.
So, allow me to explain the value.
The subject line is:
“Why i quit market research”
And then the start of the email starts with a question that has nothing to do with my market:
“Are you tired of running out of blinker fluid?”
Blinker fluid isn’t even real.
Then I did another and another and pronounced I actually didn’t quit market research.
Now, the reason I did this was to show you guys how important market research really is. If you don’t do the right market research, every email is going to feel like that to your autince.
And get this…
The guy who replied (no hate on him it’s fine) proves my point!
“it was kinda disappointing 😕”
BOOM!
That’s exactly what I wanted to happen.
It shows that when you don’t do market research, your readers get disappointed.
Now you might think…
“Yeah but i already knew i needed to do market research”
Really…
Well did you do it the last time you wrote an email?
If you did reply with your research and your email and I’ll roast you for not actually using market research. (with your permission of course)
Anyways I hoep you understood the supreme value in both this email and the last email.
Because if you haven’t gotten it by now, after I’ve just explained it all out…
I don’t know what to tell you.
Maybe entrepreneurship isn’t for you. And I don’t say that to be a dick.
It’s important for entrepreneurs to think outside the box and see things most people don’t. If you’re a stay in line kinda guy you should just get a 9-5.
