Marketing ideas for marketers who hate boring

The best marketing ideas come from marketers who live it.

That’s what this newsletter delivers.

The Marketing Millennials is a look inside what’s working right now for other marketers. No theory. No fluff. Just real insights and ideas you can actually use—from marketers who’ve been there, done that, and are sharing the playbook.

Every newsletter is written by Daniel Murray, a marketer obsessed with what goes into great marketing. Expect fresh takes, hot topics, and the kind of stuff you’ll want to steal for your next campaign.

Because marketing shouldn’t feel like guesswork. And you shouldn’t have to dig for the good stuff.

Hey {{first_name|bro}},

It’s about 11:09 pm rn and I’m gonna go to bed soon.

But before I do I wanted to write this email (and blast some jazz)

Here’s the thing about work:

It’s really not that easy to do but once you get the hang of it, you can’t let it go.

And honestly this applies to most things discipline-related.

Let me give you and example…

Today I broke my record for most outputs done in a single day. (No I’m not trying to brag or anything)

But I’m still saying up to write copy (even though I wrote 5 emails today)

Why?

Well after you’ve done a bunch of work, there’s two routes you can go down….

  1. “Wow I did a lot, let me take a break as a reward and so I don’t burnout!”

  2. “Wow I did a lot, let me keep the ball rolling!’

I don’t believe either.

I believe that there isn’t a thing such as “a bunch of work” which means mine route is…

  1. “I haven’t done enough, I need to speed things up.”

Now you might think “John that’s unhealthy and you’re just going to burnout!”

First, burnout isn’t a real thing…

Second, the ut most unhealthy thing you could possibly do is not have a purpose.

“But John I do have a purpose!”

No you don’t, not if you’re not obsessed with it every second of every day…

It’s a side purpose.

And no one ever got anywhere with a side purpose.
