You just got off the sales call…

The invoice has been paid…

You’re crying tear of joy, your mom and you are jumping up and down.

THen it hits you.

You’ve just signed a client and you have no idea what to do next.

Should you get to work?

Take a break?

More outreach?

No. no. no.

As SOON as that invoice has been paid, you need to start onboarding.

WHy? Because your client has likely paid $3k for some emails and is now about to start second guessing if it’s really worth it (AKA buyers remorse).

If he’s not sure that you’re dialed in, he could ask for a refund and all this would be for nothing.

So, what you need to do is send over everything about the project.

  • What you’re going to do

  • How long its going to take

  • When weekly calls are

  • Inviting him to the slack or whatsapp so you cna talk

  • Etc. etc.

I know it might sound stupid but if you do this your chances of going back to being a broke boy change alot.

So next time you sign a client, do this right away
