The free newsletter making HR less lonely

The best HR advice comes from people who’ve been in the trenches.

That’s what this newsletter delivers.

I Hate it Here is your insider’s guide to surviving and thriving in HR, from someone who’s been there. It’s not about theory or buzzwords — it’s about practical, real-world advice for navigating everything from tricky managers to messy policies.

Every newsletter is written by Hebba Youssef — a Chief People Officer who’s seen it all and is here to share what actually works (and what doesn’t). We’re talking real talk, real strategies, and real support — all with a side of humor to keep you sane.

Because HR shouldn’t feel like a thankless job. And you shouldn’t feel alone in it.

Hey {{first_name|bro}},

You probably think that the sky is blue right?

Well, it’s not.

The sun setting right now and it’s all pink and orange.

Why does that matter?

Because I wanted to use my favorite type of headline—the contradiction.

Look, whether you like it or not, you’ve got a certain world view and an ego. Which means you’re going to fight to make sure you’re right about that world view.

It’s why things like politics or religion aren’t talked about much.

They’re both world views and they’re both heavily guarded by your ego.

Now I don’t recommend you talking about politics to your list, but you can break someone’s world view in your SL.

Like for example…

Your world view is that the sky is blue.

But my SL contradicted that world view, so you clicked on the subject line.
