Ever watch the Simpsons?

I used to, and one of my favirote characters was homer simposion.

Everybody thinks he’s dumb, but really, he’s just way ahead of everyone else.

Like this quote for example:

“What’s the point of going out? We’re just gonna wind up back here, anyway.”

This is the exact thinking that Albert Einstein would agree with

And he’s not wrong either

They are going to end up back at home

But the whole idea of going out ISN’T to get to the restaurant and finally end up back home.

IT’s the journerny of actually getting to the restaurant and back.

THAT’S why people like going out.

And it’s the same thing with emails.

The point of an email (or even a sequence) is not to give value or to tell people to buy your stuff.

It’s to put your readers through enough “hoops” to get them to want to buy your stuff.

What are those hoops?

Well I’d hope you know by now that’s the whole point of this newsletter!

SO why am I telling you this?

Because it’s important.

You need to think in principles, not tactics.

You don’t give someone a bit of value just because that’s “best practices.”

You give them that value to make them trust you.

And so on so fourth.

How much could AI save your support team?

Peak season is here. Most retail and ecommerce teams face the same problem: volume spikes, but headcount doesn't.

Instead of hiring temporary staff or burning out your team, there’s a smarter move. Let AI handle the predictable stuff, like answering FAQs, routing tickets, and processing returns, so your people focus on what they do best: building loyalty.

Gladly’s ROI calculator shows exactly what this looks like for your business: how many tickets AI could resolve, how much that costs, and what that means for your bottom line. Real numbers. Your data.
