THE THOUGHTS, OPINIONS & TYPOS BELONG TO A LIVING, BREATHING HUMAN BEING

Have you ever been talking to someone, using your body language, explaining something clearly, and you can just tell they’re not really listening?

They’re staring through you.

The low IQ death stare.

And not to be mean here, but one thing I’ve noticed is low IQ people are not proactive.

They don’t look into things.

They don’t think ahead.

They don’t ask the next question.

And if you act like that, it can be the death of your career.

Let me give you an example.

I have another newsletter about AI.

Some guy messaged me and said something like, “I help newsletters set up systems. Do you want help?”

I said, “Yeah, sure.”

But after 13 messages of random bullshit, him basically twiddling his thumbs and beating around the bush, we finally moved over to WhatsApp.

So I messaged him there.

Of course, it took him hours to respond.

And every time I asked him something, he responded, but he never actually addressed what I asked.

Now, this was probably because he didn’t fully understand English, because his English was terrible.

But I wanted help with the newsletter.

I thought maybe he could be useful.

But it got to the point where I had sent him around 26 messages, and all I wanted to know was how he was going to help me.

He kept saying, “I’ll set up your email infrastructure.”

Well, buddy, I do that for a living.

I don’t need help with that.

All I wanted to know was how he was going to get me subscribers.

I didn’t give a shit about anything else.

And I told him that.

I had to ask ChatGPT to make me a message because I couldn’t even be bothered texting him anymore.

He replied back and technically answered my question, but he didn’t actually answer it at all.

He said something along the lines of, “I’ll help you get subscribers by setting up your welcome email.”

Then he wanted to buy a list, which is against the rules.

It was just a whole bunch of bullshit.

He wouldn’t get to the fucking point.

He kept beating around the bush.

And he never asked for a call.

So I finally had to tell him:

“If you can’t even read my message, understand what I’m asking you, and answer back with the correct thing, then you’re not going to help me.”

And of course, he never responded.

This is your warning.

You should never act like that.

I see this with a lot of people.

They get complacent.

They think things are just going to come to them.

They’re not proactive.

And if you’re not proactive, it’s going to be the death of you.

Because if you’re doing outreach, and you send the same message every single day, and then you get a call booked and think, “Okay, I’ll just go on this call,” that’s not enough.

You need to be thinking:

“What messages can I send?”

“This message is working well. Can I make it better?”

“Can I get more replies?”

“Can I get more calls booked?”

“When I get calls booked, what am I actually doing on those calls?”

You can’t just sit there, send messages, and think everything is going to come to you.

That’s the low IQ death stare.

Low IQ people just sit there and don’t understand.

They don’t perceive.

They’re stuck inside this box, and they never think about what’s outside of it.

So if you’re just hearing the words I’m saying right now, that’s not enough.

You need to understand what I’m teaching you.

And this may not make sense to some of you, and that’s fine.

That doesn’t mean you’re low IQ.

But the point is this:

You must be proactive.

You must work ahead.

You cannot fuck around.

Because in this business, and in any business, speed is money.

If you push away the thoughts in the back of your head telling you that you need to do more, you’re going to fail.

Because you do need to do more.

You need to think a little bit more.

You need to go outside the box.

That’s just the way it is.
