whether you think thats true or not, it’s very clear that he was a marketing genius. And yeah, you can look at the products he made…

but one of my favorite moments is one so simple most people wouldn’t even realise it’s marketing
it’s this clip of a interviewer and he asks:
“so what you’re biggest weakness” (paraphrasing here)
and he goes
“well, it’s funny your biggests weaknesses are often also your biggests strengths so…”
and then he goes to talk about his strengths
you see how simple but effective that is?
that’s how you need to write copy. You need to frame EVERYTHING in a way that is optimized for success.
