This morning I woke up and I was lying on the floor.
I didn’t even go to sleep, all I remember is working and then waking up on the floor at 6:30 in the morning.
Very weird.
Honestly, the whole morning i was confused.
Which actually isn’t out of the normal for me. Not because I go out drinking or anything like that, it’s because I read emails in the morning.
And every time I read someone terrible email in their terrible automation I’m left more confused than I was before reading it.
This is because of two things:
1 they’re shit at communitcating
2 they’re shit at making automations
Now I can’t really help you with 1 because this isn’t an english tutor newsletter.
I can help you with two.
You want to think about an automation as one long road for your reader to go down.
But each section has colors of the rainbow.
Lets say it goes from red to purple.
If you’re writing an automation and halfway down that road you throw in a fucking black square, the readers are going to feel like i did this morning.
What are the black squares?
Well you have to think about the context of the past emails and think, Does my reader have the full context?
LIke for example, if you’ve told them they have a problem and then the next email you jump straight to booking a strategy call without even telling them what the product or solution is… they’re going to feel like I did this morning.
So if you want your readers to LOVE your emails, make sure your automations are a straight, clear path with no random colors in the middle.
