So, I’m sure a lot of you are wondering my stance on things outside of copywriting.
Because copywriting is essentially all I talk about.
So today, I’ll be talking about some things.
Number one:
Looksmaxxing.
Yes, you should do looksmaxxing.
But to a degree.
You should do it so that you look better.
And looking better is easy.
Like 90% of it is going on a run, getting lean, getting a good haircut, and dressing well.
Which is super easy.
It doesn’t take more than an hour a week.
Maybe two.
And you will get immense ROI from it.
But the last 10% is stuff like studying bone structure, getting surgeries, and all that other shit.
That is just not worth it.
Not right now at least.
Number two:
History.
History is actually a great thing to learn about.
And actually, it’s not outside of copywriting.
In fact, history is one of the main things you should look at if you want to get good at business.
Let’s take Genghis Khan, for example.
Genghis Khan had one of the biggest empires ever.
He ruled a lot.
Okay?
He was probably one of the greatest men of all time.
And a big part of how he did it was this:
When he was going through towns and taking the men inside of them, he wouldn’t just take them and say:
“Hey, you’re part of my army now.”
He would take the youngest son and raise him as a Mongolian.
So the rest of the tribe felt like they were Mongolians too.
He stripped away their past identity and made them Mongolians.
And in a similar way, that’s what you have to do with the people who work for you.
You have to make them part of the mission.
Part of the company.
Part of the identity.
Another good one is:
There’s never been a slow general.
Or something like that.
And it’s true in business, in history, and pretty much everything.
You have to be fast.
Or you won’t win.
People who are slow just don’t win in life.
And especially not in history.
Number three:
Traveling.
Personally, I barely go traveling.
But if you’re going to take a break, I think traveling is the best thing you can do.
Especially if you have some sort of newsletter or something where you need to tell stories and create content.
Because if you’re from a place like America, and you go to a place like Italy or Asia or somewhere way different than your hometown, you’re going to learn so many new things.
You’re going to see so many new things.
You’re going to experience a completely different culture.
And you’re going to have so many different stories that you’ll have content for potentially even a year.
And it’ll actually be interesting content.
I’ll try to think of an example from when I went to England.
In England, I spent hours driving in the countryside.
And that’s because there are huge roads and almost nothing in the countryside.
So I’d spend hours driving around, bored, just seeing grass and old buildings for a long time.
Then when I got to London, I wouldn’t even drive.
I would walk everywhere.
Which was very new for me, because where I live, we just drive everywhere.
So I learned, well, I mean, I already knew this, but it could become an email idea.
You need to be in the right place to do the right thing.
Let’s say you’re a race car driver.
If you’re a race car driver, the best place to go is the countryside because you’re going to be driving a lot.
But if you’re a marathon runner, then the best place to go is London because you’re going to be walking a lot.
And it’s the same thing with copywriting.
If you’re really good at writing emails, then pitch people who are getting a lot of traffic to their website.
But if you’re really good at webinars, pitch people who have no website but have a large audience, a confused niche, and a lot of trust with that audience.
So that’s just one way traveling can give you an email idea.
That’s just one example.
But it can give you so many.
And that’s the point.
Things outside of copywriting actually help you do copywriting.
They help you with business.
They help you with marketing.
They help you with with sex even.
so do them
