“John… don’t ask how I got this but there’s a client who wants me to write for a gay dating app. How do i write for gay people?”
Look I’ve been asked this a billion different times in a billion different ways.
Well… they weren’t ALL gay.
Anyways, the point is people keep coming to me asking “how do i write for x market??”
Truth is… i’ve got no idea.
I’m not gay. I’m not a mom in her 40s. I’m not a pickleball player.
But I do know how to get inside of these people’s brains, and there’s a specific way I do it every single time.
So whether you’re writing for gay daters or whatever… this is how you do it.
Step 0:
Most of you won’t it?" "Were be able to do this but if you can talk to your clients clients/customers on a call that is the very best market research you can ever do.
Ask them stuff like “why did you buy” “where you nervous before” etc
Step 1:
Reddit/forums/reviews
Just look online for the question you would’ve asked your clients’ client. Usually you’ll find it in very niche places like reddit.
Step 2:
AI
This one can fuck up your whole thing so make sure you’re fact checking what AI is saying
But essentially you ask it the questions you would’ve asked the clients’ client.
Boom!
THat’s it.
You just gotta know the right questions to ask.
How do you do that?
Reply to this and find out.
