so someone asked me how to quit bad habits like porn…
And before i explain exactly how to do that, let me tell you how down bad I was.
everyday I’d stay up till 3am playing video games, eating junk food, fucking around. I didn’t do anything for school (which was the “productive” thing at the time).
I was essentially this meme:

anyways i ended quitting all that shit and locked in
here’s how:
look im going to give you all the tips and whatever, but at the end of the day… you need to do it yourself.
you need to want it bad enough to quit
i know i know that’s super basic generic advice… and i’m going to give you some really good shit, but you need to do this first.
Find a reason to quit porn, video games, etc.
and find a REALLY good reason.
That can be God (best reason imo) or something else if you’re already somewhat religious.
moving on to the tactics:
make doing the bad thing as hard as possible.
One of the bad habits i had was social media, i’d scroll for HOURS everyday. What i did to quit is get an app called screenzen
I’m not going to waste your time telling you what it does, just get it and you’ll understand
worked perfectly i literally quit in like a month (not an ad btw)
for porn you can get porn blockers, go to sleep really early and everytime you catch yourself having temptations try to work outside somewhere or next to people.
to be honest, just being around people will help you quit your bad habits
because you dont want other people to see the horrible things you’re doing
one thing i did was hop on discord calls with my work buddies and i’d work for hours without even thinking about ba habits.
that brings me to the second point:
making work as fun as possible
get a good monitor, try to join a community and make friends, make sure you at least enjoy some of your work.
One of the ways i quit bad habits was just replacing all the time playing videos, watching tv, etc. with stuff like writing emails doing outreach and stuff.
i know i know it sounds too simple to work
but trust me on that. try this out, try it as hard as you can for just a week.
Leave me a comment that says “john i’m starting today, i’ll update you in a week” and you have to actually update me or it wont work
if you give yourself public and honest accountability it’s the best way to beat the bad habits
let me know if you have any questions as well
