Today I was on a coaching call and my mentor said something that i think all of you guys should staple on your head.
Well it was more three things…
1 sharp as a tack
2 expert in your field
3 enthusiastic as heck
Alright you’re probably sat there confused so let me give you an example.
A while back we need to hire people to edit our ads but we didn’t have a video editor. It wasn’t anything complicated we just needed it done QUICK.
So we go onto some websites, post a few ads, and get on a few sales calls with these guys.
(mind you, this is pretty much free money we’re throwing at them)
Eventually after some painfully bad sales calls, we end up hiring some random guy.
Easy job.
Good pay.
Just gotta get the project in in 3 days.
Should be cake right?
Well no.
The guy shows up on day 3 with one or two half edited clips.
Needless to say we fired him and just had to do it ourselves because everyone wasn’t…
SHARP AS A TACK
What I mean by that is they were “on it.”
They weren’t enthusiastic enough to work quickly & hard. They weren’t an expert (or at least it didn’t look like that) and…
Surprise surprise they weren’t sharp as a tack.
SO they lost money.
Alot of it.
Moral of the story is…
Sharp as a tack
Expert in your fleild
Enthusiastic as heck
