The only reason you’re reading this email right now is because of copywriting used in ww2.

Actually…

and i’m not joking when I say this…

The only reason that millions… potentially billions… have survived without starving, getting imprisoned, or much, much worse is because of copywriting. (even that guy {{first_name}} )

Here’s the deal:

The US was basically dirt broke in 1942.

They were in the ending years of the great depression (one of the biggest losses of wealth in history)

they had tons of dept

And they barely had enough people and money to keep things going.

Then… they decided it was time to start fighting the single most expensive war in all of history.

The US literally needed a miracle to survive.

So they called in the big guns…

COPYWRITING

The plan was simple:

We’re broke, let’s just get a bunch of money from US citizens and use that to fight the war.

wait… how do we suck up $3.5 trillion from a nation going through the worst financial situation it’s ever been in? (more or less)

1. Make it personal

They had a problem to lean on: “if we lose this war, your wife, kids or future could all die.”

That takes a “big war” and makes it real by showing how it actually affects them

2. Identity

If they bought the bonds they were patriots (very important at that time)

If they didn’t buy em’ they were basically letting soldiers die on the battlefield. (horrible)

3. Storytelling

Ever watched a war movie?

Imagine seeing that and then getting given the chance to make things a tiny bit better for the soldiers on your side.

Now imagine that if everyone just puts in a bit, it’ll get much better.

Can you see how powerful that is?

Anyways the US ended up getting an average contribution of $40,000 from 64% of their population… won the war… kept the modern world save…

and…

Put the computer (or phone) you’re reading this on… in your hands.

Don’t wait for miracles, my friend.

Just use copywriting.

The Future of Shopping? AI + Actual Humans.

AI has changed how consumers shop by speeding up research. But one thing hasn’t changed: shoppers still trust people more than AI.

Levanta’s new Affiliate 3.0 Consumer Report reveals a major shift in how shoppers blend AI tools with human influence. Consumers use AI to explore options, but when it comes time to buy, they still turn to creators, communities, and real experiences to validate their decisions.

The data shows:

  • Only 10% of shoppers buy through AI-recommended links

  • 87% discover products through creators, blogs, or communities they trust

  • Human sources like reviews and creators rank higher in trust than AI recommendations

The most effective brands are combining AI discovery with authentic human influence to drive measurable conversions.

Affiliate marketing isn’t being replaced by AI, it’s being amplified by it.
