So here we are.
Outreach 101
Send a few dm’s… hop on a few calls… and boom!
Just like that, you landed a client… right?
WRONG.
Most of you… maybe even you yes, you…
Are doing outreach completely wrong.
“What do you mean, John?”
Let me ask you this…
When you send outreach, are you doing it for money?
“Yeah, duh.”
Well, you shouldn’t be.
“What?”
That’s right, money isn’t the reason you send openers, is it?
Here’s what I mean…
Outreach isn’t a shortcut to money, it’s a process.
With different steps along the way.
What’s step one?
Send some type of message.
What’s the goal of that message?
“Get mone-“ AH.
No, it’s to get a reply.
Think about it, how are you going to get paid… without even talking to the prospect?
Step two?
Get them on a sales call.
Whether that’s through… looms… value… warming up… voice notes… WHATEVER.
Here’s the thing: when you're doing that “whatever,” the goal isn’t to get money.
That’s needy, and everyone knows…
Clients HATE needy.
The goal is to get them on a call (or close over dm’s which I wouldn’t recommend.)
So, next time you're doing outreach…
Focus on the goal of your step… not on the goal of outreach.
