Marketing ideas for marketers who hate boring

The best marketing ideas come from marketers who live it.

That’s what this newsletter delivers.

The Marketing Millennials is a look inside what’s working right now for other marketers. No theory. No fluff. Just real insights and ideas you can actually use—from marketers who’ve been there, done that, and are sharing the playbook.

Every newsletter is written by Daniel Murray, a marketer obsessed with what goes into great marketing. Expect fresh takes, hot topics, and the kind of stuff you’ll want to steal for your next campaign.

Because marketing shouldn’t feel like guesswork. And you shouldn’t have to dig for the good stuff.

Do you see a difference between these two?

Because I don’t.

They both balance out the good from the bad. The weak from the strong. And… the clientless from the client-overwhelmed.

In other words, whether you like it or not, root beer is the reason you do or don’t have clients.

I mean it sounds wild, but it’s 100% true…

Here’s why:

What do you think the difference between that lion and that goat is?

One eats the other…

One is defenseless… and one is a killer.

The reason is their body type; one is scrawny, and the other is muscular. Now I’m not saying you need to go to the gym…

I’m saying, because of the body type alone, one aurates a sense of authority and the other proves their doubts right.

You see, the battleground these two are in is one of body, not mind.

But outreach?

It’s a battle of mind, not body.

So the reason you haven’t gotten clients/more clients is because your mind isn’t ready for it.

So what does that have to do with root beer?

Here’s the thing…

Someone who has what you want isn’t smarter, more willing, or anything—er than you.

They’ve just got a better mind BECAUSE of what they’re putting in their body.

No, I’m not talking about diet…

I’m talking about sassafras and sarsaparilla—the two base ingredients in the root beer formula.

What does that have to do with anything?

hear me out…

Sassafras is a tree, while sarsaparilla is a vine.

That’s what separates you from what you want—Most people are either a tree type or a vine type…

The tree type is referencing to building the foundation: Learning, researching, and all that stuff. (basically preparing)

The vine type is reaching beyond the foundation: Connecting with others, putting skills to use, and stuff of that nature.

People are usually one of these two types, but to get what you really want, you need to be both.

Most people think they need to be one or the other…

but to truly transcend life and make it yours (get a fucking client)…

You need to be both and none at the same time.
