There, I said it.
Other than Kav Legacy’s (now discontinued, I think) literally perfect sales course… don’t waste your money on that shit.
Take me for example:
A once shy, introverted, and frankly puny little wannabe smooth talker, went from failing sales call after sales call to closing almost every deal I’ve had the pleasure of negotiating…
WITHOUT ANY COURSES. (other than Kav’s, which is impossible to get now)
This is why I feel bad for all the copywriters I see dropping a grand on sales courses when they can literally get the same training for free while doing outreach.
because think about it…
You’re not stuttering and getting nervous trying to convince your family of where to eat for dinner, are you?
So problem isn’t that you’re bad at talking (you can already do that), and the problem isn’t that you’re bad at selling (that’s literally your job)…
the problem is intense experience.
Here’s what I mean:
You can talk normally with your family, but when you get on call with a business owner, you start shaking, hands get sweaty… you say the wrong thing, etc.
But if you just did more calls, you’d get better.
except… sales calls suck.
So why not just bite the bullet and talk to hundreds (or thousands) of business owners at the same time?
That way you’re getting 1000x more training than one sales call.
If you’re literally progressing 1000x faster than all the other copywriters… you’re going to sign clients 1000x faster.
So how do you talk to the business owners?
Podcasts.
I don’t care if it’s scary, they’ll make you a darn good salesperson.
