Hey {{first_name|bro}},

This is gonna be a bit long but I thought you guys might want to see it.

It’s with Ashu Drafts and if you haven’t sub to his list, I highly recommend it.

That’s the email I responded to.

My first message was:

if you don't work weekends you lose 104 days out of the year. If you don't work sundays you lose 54 days out of the year.

2 hours a day for exercise is 30 days a year

6 hours of sleep a day is 91 days a year.

If you think you can succeed with 1/3 of the year... you're in for a rude awakening.

Life is short, don't spend it "relaxing."

Then he said:

Hey,

Following up on my last email – I received a very interesting reply from Copy John:

He made a powerful point. That line – “Life is short, don’t spend it ‘relaxing.’” – really hit me. And honestly, I’d give it a 10 billion percent mark.

Not to blame or argue, but because it's true: we only get one life – one chance to fulfill our dreams, spend time with family, and achieve what matters most to us.

But here’s the catch: constantly “realizing” this without taking real action won’t get you anywhere.

Life is about exploring, experiencing new things, and truly understanding yourself.

If you throw yourself into nonstop work and neglect God, family, and close relationships, you'll eventually feel burned out and empty, no matter how much money you make.

That said – in the first 4–5 years of entrepreneurship, you can’t relax too much. You're starting from zero, building something meaningful, and chasing big goals. And yes, sometimes you’ll need to rest – but don’t let comfort hold you back.

The real millionaires? They automate, delegate, and eventually work just 4–10 hours a week, enjoying life on their terms. But they didn’t get there by relaxing. They got there through hard work, sacrifice, and relentless focus.

If you're just starting your journey, here's my simple advice:

Work. Work. Work. Don’t look for quick results. Keep working.

But don’t forget to:

  • Spend time with your family and loved ones

  • Take care of your physical health

Because you can work 24/7 on your laptop and make money. But if you're not careful, poor health will cost you 10–15 years of your life – easily.

In today’s fast-paced, polluted, junk-food-filled world, health is wealth. Investing time in your well-being now means more time and energy in the future.

So for the first 5 years of your entrepreneurial journey:

Work hard. Hit the gym. Do your cardio. Be present with your family.

That’s it.

And big thanks to John for inspiring this email. 🙏

Then I said:

Ur putting up two options:

1 be with family, God and fitness

2 work.

But why not both?

Yeah, in the beginning you're going to have to spend more time on work.

But really think about it...

If you don't work 24/7 now later down the road you're not going to be as far as ahead, which means you're not going to be able to take care of your family as much as you want.

You're not going to be able to focus on God as much as you want.

And you're definitely not going to be able to afford an expensive gym, diet, and just having the time to do all that.

Like for example...

Right now if you wanted to go to the gym you've got to walk there, you've got to work for an hour, and walk back.

That's already a bunch of time spent right now just walking and extra bits and bobs because you're not in an expensive gym. Then you've got to take in measuring food, making diet, changing work out plans.

THERE'S ALOT...

I mean some people make gym their whole life.

And it's not just time and money you're losing, you're also losing energy because putting effort into those things (and I kinda like to think energy as like a bar you get daily, if you're doing gym then you're losing tons of that bar)

which is going to eventually hurt your work.

And that's just gym.

There's tons of other stuff like that you're spending doing. (which is fine)

But if you where rich you could just get a personal trainer and a home gym. Something like $2000/mo for both of those.

You're literally gaining more life.

So the way I see it is, you're going to "waste time" either way.

1 you spend half your time with God, family, etc. then when u get rich later

or

2 you spend less time with family (not God always prioritize God) etc. then when you're rich spend all ur time with family etc.

What's the difference?

Number 2 increases life quality for you and everyone you love.

So you can either spend time with your family etc. in "broke mode" or "rich mode."

And let me tell you... "rich mode" is A LOT better.

Final note: Forget all this and think... What if one of my family members got a deadly disease that costs tons of money to save them?

Also most of your family is still working... why? do they not deserve to relax? Why is your relaxation now more important than their well-being in the future?

I'm not trying to debate or anything just trying to show my perspective, you can still go to the gym or spend time with family, but do it differently.

maybe instead of walking for an hour every day do 15 min of intense activity.

instead of spending 3 hours watching tv with your family, have a meaningful conversation with them for an hour.

instead of "relaxing" meditate, gratitude journal, take a cold shower

you don't have to be a computer goblin, but you do have to do the work. After all, that's what humans where created for. Work shouldn't be something you're trying to skip on the weekends, it should be something you're doing to have fun.

to put passion and purpose into.

Yeah sometimes it's gonna stuck (outreach) but those are the times you just gotta suck it up and keep pushing.

Not for ego, not for yourself, not even for your family.

But for Glory To God

Amen
