干嘛呢 (yo what’s up)
Coming to you hot from beijing

There’s actually an interesting thing that’s going on in China right now and it’s showing why westerner copywriters could die out in 2026
Let me explain:
In China, copy is generally numro dos (two)
But in the west, everyone hails copy as the very best and most important for any and all marketing.
Now I’ve kinda always known copy wasn’t number one, but that’s a "controversial" option.
(a right one at that, as usual)
Point is: For years (pretty much since the 1990s) everyone thought the west was right about copy being the undisputed winner.
And for a while they were correct.
But then mainstream social media took over marketing. And most everyone was left thinking copy was number one… while the clear number one winner is the disruption.
Basically:
People were left with milk bone underwear, in a dog eat dog world.
So the important part about all this and why you could save yourself just by changing your mindset on this is….
Copy is no longer #1
It’s your brand…
Your funnel…
Your audience.
Gone are the days when you could sprout out good copy and get sales instantly.
Now you need a real base to work on if you actually want real results.
Magnum opus paradigm shifting conclusion:
Stop going for people who have no base and offering to fix that with good copy (never going to work)
Go for people who already have distribution down and write copy for them.
That way even if your copy is shit, it’ll still do alright because it’s got the good disruption backing it up.
(now if your copy is really abysmally shit, you might want to check this out)

Why AI Isn’t Replacing Affiliate Marketing After All
“AI will make affiliate marketing irrelevant.”
Our new research shows the opposite.
Levanta surveyed 1,000 US consumers to understand how AI is influencing the buying journey. The findings reveal a clear pattern: shoppers use AI tools to explore options, but they continue to rely on human-driven content before making a purchase.
Here is what the data shows:
Less than 10% of shoppers click AI-recommended links
Nearly 87% discover products on social platforms or blogs before purchasing on marketplaces
Review sites rank higher in trust than AI assistants

P.S. No, I’m not actually in Bejing… AI is getting crazy tho right?
