Did that catch you off guard?

What were you expecting? Some fake ass “Greetings {{first_name}}!”

Nah

We don’t do that here at the Copy John newsletter.

Here’s the deal:

I am going to write this email for 9 minutes, stuff value into your brains, and get the fuck out.

Word of the day: unpredictable.

You HAVE to be unpredictable for your clients, for yourself, in your outreach… even just in life.

Reason why is, humans crave unpredictability.

Think about it…

Would you rather live your life knowing exactly what's going to happen your whole life, start to finish with no gaps at all…

Or not know the future (the life you’re living rn)

Not knowing anything, of course!

Why do you think we hate watching movies over and over again (unless they’re really good)?

Because they’re predictable.

And predictable = not exciting… not fun… and extremely boring.

So when you’re writing your emails, or your client work or WHATEVER add a little bit of spice to them.

Start out an email with FUCK YOU and just see what happens.

Maybe have a really overly british accent on one of your emails.

Whatever

Just don’t make people think…

“Oh no, I know exactly what’s going to be in that guy’s email.”

Anyways I’m off to go save my fish from drowning
